Festival 2025: Student Scholarship Winner

Dr. Day teamed up with other Wilmington University instructors and local filmmaking experts to lead a seven-week workshop for young filmmakers.  They guided high school students to develop skills and created entries for the High School Emerging Storyteller Competition at the inaugural Wilmington International Film Festival in October, 2025.  Announced at the Festival on October 12th, George Smallwood from Delcastle Technical High School became the winner.  With this he received the President’s Emerging Storyteller Award and a full four-year scholarship to Wilmington University!
